Duct Work and Repair
Ductwork in a home whether it be in the attic, crawlspace, or in the walls is like the arteries in your body, it is the system that delivers cool or warm air throughout your home. It doesn’t matter how great and energy efficient your HVAC system is, if your ductwork is in poor shape. Ductwork over 10 years old should be inspected as over time it can separate, become loose from vents, or get rips or leaks in it. If you are upgrading your HVAC system to a more efficient system, the ductwork may need an upgrade as well. When we perform a Preventative Maintenance cleaning on your HVAC system, one of the things we do is check your ductwork. We also check the ductwork when we prepare an estimate for new equipment. We pride ourselves in our duct work jobs as we take extra steps to ensure longevity of the ductwork system including using copper staples so they never rust. We use the process of stapling the ductwork, taping over the staples, then stapling again, and lastly applying a coat of mastic to seal the jointed areas.
